It is that time of year when the fresh fish is sparse in selection but this provides a great opportunity to branch out and try other seafood you may not be familiar with! Unlike chicken..or beef – no one should ever be bored with seafood. The options are endless….clams, crab, shrimp, salmon, swordfish, halibut, langostinos and scallops…the flavors and textures vary and complement any side dish or salad.

With that in mind – most people like to start off a new year with good habits and fresh sole and white fish like rockfish and cod are mild and low in fat. These items are generally regularly available (depending on weather) throughout the winter season….

Try this easy recipe from Eating Well!

Steaming sole and spinach in packets make clean up a snap. Make it a meal: Steamed new potatoes complete this meal.

Friday-Dec. 9th – Final Drop-off for Custom Smoking
Wed-Dec 14th – Final Day for Ground Shipping
Tues-Dec 20th – Final Day for Fedex Express Shipments
Wed – Dec 21st – Final Day for Fedex Shipments w/ Whl Ckd Crab
Sat Xmas eve – Close at 2pm
Dec 25-27 – Closed
Dec 28-31st – OPEN
Jan 1-8 – CLOSED

All orders needing to be re-shipped will be dealt with AFTER Jan 8th, 2012.

Salmon are really starting to run now! If you happen to catch one fresh or have old stuff in the freezer needing to make room for the new stuff – let us smoke or fillet and vacuum seal your catch! All charges are based on incoming weight – as always we will remove the pin-bones for no additional charge.
Custom Smoking is $3.95/lb
Filleting $1/lb
Vacuum Sealing $1/lb
Flash-Freezing $1/lb

Did you catch a lot of fish this Summer? Do you have leftovers in your freezer from the previous season? If so – then have us hot-smoke or can your fish for holiday gift-giving or parties!

We are a HACCP certified facility – with the ability to hot-smoke Blackcod, Halibut, Salmon, Tuna. We are are certified to can Tuna and Salmon.

All fish brought in for custom processing must be gutted and no bloodlines.

Our Drop-off Deadline this year for holiday custom processing will be:

Nov 12th for canned product

December 3rd for hot-smoked product

Start cleaning out those freezers!!

Bait Bucket Exchange!

The sport Dungeness crab season is just around the corner!

To meet the demand for crab bait – we are putting up our salmon and blackcod scraps and trim up in our reusable 3 gallon buckets with lids.

This program works similar to a propane exchange – your first bucket of bait is $10.00 and when you return your clean/empty bucket & lid your refill is $5

We will not accept other buckets or pails for filling – only our branded buckets. Other quantities of bait or soup stock requests will be $1.50/lb

The Alaska pot cod fishery just ended and we received our last big delivery for awhile. We are offering fillets for $4.50/lb while supplies last!

True Cod is a mild flavored fish with a flaky texture. It is extremely versatile to cook with – steam, bake, fry. This fish is a great way to introduce seafood to kids diets also.
